The Enchanted Palace, Seven princesses in Kensington Palace
Earlier in the week I went to London to see the Seven Princesses exhibition in Kensington Palace. I have to say it was well worth the £11 entry fee and was definitely one of the best exhibitions I have seen. It has been created by the theatrical group Wildworks who have worked their magic to create a mysterious set for each of the seven princesses along with seven other rooms to tread it all together.
You start your journey at the 'Room Of Beginnings' where there is a tree with its branches pointing you in the right directions, you are also given a booklet with a drawn map to help keep you on the right track. It was a very well presented booklet with cool little drawing in it, which where very well illustrated.
One of my favourite rooms was the first princess, which was called the 'Room Of Royal Sorrows'.The main items in this room where a bed, a chest of draws with empty perfume bottles on top of it, and a mirror which has a floating dress standing in front of it. Along the walkway in the room were hanging tags in which people had written when they last cried on them. Unfortunately due to the low lighting and the business of the room I wasn't able to read as many of the tags as I would have liked.
Another one of my favourite rooms was the 'Room Of Flight' in which a floating Vivienne Westwood dress hung along the stairs on the staircase which lead to six eerie looking figures draped in black cloth.
Unfortunately the 'Room Of A Sleeping Princess' was closed for refurbishment, which was a shame, as it was the room we were most looking forward to seeing, but we didn't feel too hard done by as the rest of the exhibition was amazing.
In the last room the 'Gallery Of Dancing Shadows' which revealed all seven princess there was a projection on the ceiling of a dancing lady and a dancing couple. This worked very well within the space and looked different from all angles of the room when looking up.
What I found out from this exhibition is just how much light can transform a space and I think that it was used really well throughout the exhibition. Each room created a different feeling, whether it was happy, sad, or even a feeling of being a bit freaked out, and that's what made this exhibition so intriguing. A definite must see.

Confetti are back!
I have just found out that Confetti are back in business! A month after going into administration it has finally been bought for an undisclosed sum by business man George Buchan. Thank god for that. I was starting to worry about my (hopefully) future career in the wedding industry! But all has been put right and I can now sleep easy knowing that all is well in the wedding industry.

House fire on Hughenden Road!
The house the next day looked scary. All the smoke had risen to the roof making it collapse so the house was just an empty shell. I know it may seem a bit morbid but the house looked kind of cool with its white decorative pillars now turned to black, but also surreal with how you can lose everything within hours.

Cognito charity fashion show.
Yesterday I had some work experience helping out at a charity fashion show. It was for a shop called Cognito which is in Windsor and stock brands including Moschino, Versace, Jenny Packham, Cavalli, Max Mara and Save the Queen. Myself and my friend Gemma Viner arrived at Cognitio around 2.30pm. The models arrived shortly after. The owners of the shop, Alvin and Ingrid styled the models for each section (casual wear, day wear, occasions and evening wear). Once they had their final outfit fully approved it was then up to us to write down a description of this, including the brands and the prices, on a tag to be placed around each outfit's hangers. Once these had all been sorted and hung up in order for each model we then placed them all in protective covers just in time for them to be collected and transferred to The Chapel in Beaumont House Hotel, which is where the catwalk was taking place. When we got to the venue we were briefed on what was what and then all that was needed to do was sit and wait for the catwalk to get started. Once it started we had to make sure each model was dressed as quickly as possible and in position for their next section, this included putting all the correct accessories on and making sure the tags on the outfits were hidden as much as possible. We didn't get to see the catwalk but it seemed to be a success and was all for a good cause, Sebastian's Action Trust. I really enjoyed the experience and look forward to the next bit of work experience which comes my way!

Daisy stack rings
I first saw daisy stack rings in cosmopolitan bride magazine around a year ago. As soon as I saw them I wanted them, and for Christmas was bought the 'alpha' which is a single daisy on a silver ring and 'dupion' which is a silver twisted style spacer. Then for my 21st birthday I was bought the 'anise' which is the same as the 'dupion' but gold plated and also the 'queen bee' which is exactly that. I think I may need one more ring to complete it but haven't decided yet which one to get.
hello
Hello. I have finally joined the world of blogging, after much thinking I have decided to call it 'I really like daisies' because I really like daisies. And shoes. And jewellery. And weddings, and planning, and design. Hopefully these will be covered in my new blog.
