Cognito charity fashion show.
Yesterday I had some work experience helping out at a charity fashion show. It was for a shop called Cognito which is in Windsor and stock brands including Moschino, Versace, Jenny Packham, Cavalli, Max Mara and Save the Queen. Myself and my friend Gemma Viner arrived at Cognitio around 2.30pm. The models arrived shortly after. The owners of the shop, Alvin and Ingrid styled the models for each section (casual wear, day wear, occasions and evening wear). Once they had their final outfit fully approved it was then up to us to write down a description of this, including the brands and the prices, on a tag to be placed around each outfit's hangers. Once these had all been sorted and hung up in order for each model we then placed them all in protective covers just in time for them to be collected and transferred to The Chapel in Beaumont House Hotel, which is where the catwalk was taking place. When we got to the venue we were briefed on what was what and then all that was needed to do was sit and wait for the catwalk to get started. Once it started we had to make sure each model was dressed as quickly as possible and in position for their next section, this included putting all the correct accessories on and making sure the tags on the outfits were hidden as much as possible. We didn't get to see the catwalk but it seemed to be a success and was all for a good cause, Sebastian's Action Trust. I really enjoyed the experience and look forward to the next bit of work experience which comes my way!
